I’m not sure about you, but I take my makeup essentials with me everywhere. I’m going to empty my cute $10 makeup bag I purchased at Walgreens, and go through every item I take on the go. I recommend each product I’m about to show you and I’ll go into more detail with each one. The only item I don’t have to show you is my bronzer. (I dropped it on the floor and had to fix it so it’s at home.) The list below is in the order I use each idea; the only items missing are eyeshadow, with is after browns and before lash curling; the second item missing is the bronzer which I on after lashes but before lips.
Let’s get started!
The Makeup Bag $10 @ Walgreens –
(Looks like it’s on sale for $7.50 right now!) I love this bag, it’s not too big or too small and the thick canvas material makes for a sturdy bag and “heavy duty” that feels like it will last a long time. PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser $5.79 @ Target –
(Use the purchase link at the end of this #2 section to pay almost $2 cheaper than other retailers.) I use the Instant Pore Eraser where more pores are most noticeable and will prime the rest of my face. (FYI: Keep your skin healthy by using the RIGHT products for your skin type. Check out this post to make sure you’re not damaging your skin.) I do NOT prime over the areas I’ve put the pore eraser. PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: Maybelline Fit Me! Dewy + Smooth $7.99 @ Ultra –
The Fit Me line is one of the best drugstore foundations that exist. Comparing the Fit Me Matte against the Dewy, I choose to use DEWY as the Matte would dry down as a blotchy finish. PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer $7.99 @ Target –
(Use the purchase link following to get this price) It’s pretty well known throughout the beauty world how amazing the Age Rewind is. Ranked high as one of the most used concealers next to Tarte Shape Tape. PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: Kat Von D Translucent Setting Powder $15.00 @ JCPenny –
Love this translucent powder! Besides being kinda bulky to carry in my makeup, it’s an item I can’t leave without. Zero flashback and perfect for a quick and easy oily fix. PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: Beauty Blender $20.00 @ South Moon Under –
The beauty blender is what I use to apply my setting powder. The small tip is perfect to place powder under eyes and I use the butt of the blender to place powder to contour under hollows of cheeks. PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: Elf Brow Pencil $2.00 @ Ulta –
Besides being extremely affordable, the duel end pencil makes for detailed fill in and spooly to save space from having to carry an addition tool. PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: Eyelash Curler $20.00 @ Bloomingdales –
I was lucky to be blessed with long lashes, so I don’t have to use false lashes. A quick 10-second curl does amazing things. This step should never be overlooked, it’s a quick step that makes a world of a difference. PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: L’Oreal Lash Paradise $9.99 @ Ulta –
I was ride or die for the Wet n Wild extreme mascara, but one use of L’Oreal’s lash paradise had been switched forever. Wet n’ Wild who? PURCHASE LINK
Makeup Bag: NYX Butter Gloss (Color: Fortune Cookie) $4.99 Ulta –
I love this formula! The color and look pretty goes with any look and looks amazing for any situation. Rather than skipping out on a wide variety of colors, NYX has released a lot of color options in their Butter Gloss line, but this nude is perfect! PURCHASE LINK
